Can you describe the look of the finished picture on the pendant?

Our photo-engraved pendants can best be described as having an elegant, etched-in-metal appearance with varying degrees of visibility based on lighting and angle of refraction. This style is not in color and not designed to appear as prominently as a color photograph. While the photo-etching is still visible to others, it is a more personal keepsake held closely to the wearer. The pendant is best viewed in natural sunlight.

Type of photo to send

What is the best type of photo to upload/send you?

You can send us either color or black and white photos; either will work well. Obviously, the clearer the picture the better. However, please don't be overly concerned about poor picture quality, as we have many methods of enhancing your photo for optimum results. And when you go with us, it's all provided to you free of charge. In fact, If we have a question about design placement of certain elements of your photo, we may contact you to get your opinion. Our goal is to proactively strive to produce a finished product, in which you will be happy to call your own.

Quality feel to the touch

I have ordered picture pendants before, and they feel really chintzy, almost plastic feeling, are these pendants cheap feeling?

Absolutely not, our photo-pendants are not chintzy feeling. We understand that the feel of the pendant in your hand is very important to you, and that it is a reflection of you as well. You want to feel proud about giving a quality keepsake to your loved ones. That is why our pendants are made to feel solid, with just the right amount of weight, so that when your special someone holds it in their hand, it will come as no surprise when you see them moving their hand up and down unconsciously admiring the quality feel.

Durability

How well do the pendants hold up?

With normal use, you will enjoy your keepsake for a very long time. We recommend that for maximum durability, the pendant be worn on top of the clothing (which you will probably do anyway) to avoid contact with excessive perspiration. Please avoid contact with excess water as well.

Maintenance

How do I care for my pendant?

Your new pendant is low maintenance. Fingerprints may be easily removed with a soft cotton cloth and a little household kitchen spray, for example 409, just make sure to wipe and dry thoroughly. Over time your etched pendant may develop a slight patina, or natural layer on the surface of the metal. This can be removed and/or polished with a mild ammonia-free, non-abrasive jewelry or silver cleaner. We recommend Wrights Silver Polish (engraved pendants only, not color-mode pendants)

Pendant add-ons

Why are there so many options in ordering and why is the chain, as well as other add-ons optional?

Pendant add-ons give you options. Some  people only want the pendant without the necklace as they already own a necklace, or they are attaching or hanging it from and endless array of places. That is why we are proud to offer many options for maximum customization.

No questions asked refund policy

I am a little unsure about ordering something online. what if I am not happy with the results, even after you have gone through all the trouble of engraving the piece for me?

We understand your concern about ordering a customization piece. No one can predict any issues that may arise when you send us your information, misspelled names, errors in dates, (even when not our fault) cropping concerns, picture placement, picture clarity, etc. That is why we encourage you to contact us if there is anything you are not happy with and we will strive to make it right, In fact, we will fix the issue and send you the corrected pendant at no charge to you. We just ask that you return the old pendant to us. But in the end, it all comes down to the following:

For any reason, if you are not satisfied with your product, you may return it to us, in its original condition, postmarked within 30 days of purchase, and we will refund your purchase price, less shipping costs to and from our office. EXCEPTION: If you order more than 3 pendants at one time, these are non-refundable due to material and labor expenses. In this case, you may want to order a single pendant to preview your large order.

What are your design qualifications?

Our design qualifications include oversight by a graphic designer. Graphic designers usually have a bachelor's degree in design or advertising. Ours has a bachelor's degree in advertising from a major university.
